COMUNITY ENGAGMENT
I target work which champions community engagement such as my most recent Public art project “Donnington Sculpture garden. This project was developed through an extensive period of community research, to address the needs of the local residence. In response I devised an inspiring place for people to meet, which has become a focal point of the vilage. We awarded 3 artists Mell Howse, Mehran Ghahari and Caroline Wheaton to produce artworks to sit in a pergola which I built to act as an open air gallery space.

A common thread was the community public artwork created alongside Resilience in Clay. The public response was overwhelming with thousands of notes of support for the refugee and Asylem community who co created the piece withe the volunteers at Sanctuary in Chichester. Kate sourced Arts Council England Lottery Funding for this.
